Joycelin Cruz is presently teaching at Raffles Design Institute, Shanghai, China.  Prior to that, she had taught both in academic and non-academic setting in Beijing, China and in the Philippines, her home country.   She also acquired training with WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) in the process of accrediting international schools where she was involved in both Professional Development as well as Curriculum Development Team.

At Raffles, she served as the Course Coordinator for ESL Pre-Intermediate and Intermediate Levels from 2008 to 2009.   Throughout that period, she conducted teacher –training workshops and designed the curriculum for the levels mentioned above.

Aside from teaching English, she also has had unforgettable experience in theater groups i.e.,  the Trumpets in the Philippines and  The Beijing Playhouse in Beijing, China. She carried with her this passion to Shanghai and in 2009, conducted a Drama Workshop on Christopher Marlowe’s Doctor Faustus played by ESL students, which was filmed and shown at the graduation exhibition that year. 

Joycelin Cruz has been a lecturer for ESL Department at Raffles Design Institute since year 2007.
